How Your Jewelry Works!
- Internally Threaded (Screw-In)
Hold the flatback or ball firmly with one hand. With the other, twist the decorative front counterclockwise (“lefty loosey”) until it unscrews.
- Hinged Jewelry (Clickers)
Locate the hinge and closure, hold one side steady, then press on the seam to “click” the hoop open and swing the halves apart.
- Seam Rings
Note: Don’t bend into a “C.” Rotate the seam to 12 o’clock, grip each side, twist one hand forward in a corkscrew motion, then slide in or out.
- Captive Bead Rings (CBRs)
Note: Never bend into a “C.” Brace the ring, grip the bead, and twist it back and forth until it pops free.
- Threadless (Push-Pin)
Hold the flatback or ball securely, grasp the front end, and pull apart. For extra leverage, press your thumbs together behind the piece.
